Sí Mexico Golf was founded after decades of golf and travel throughout the beautiful country of Mexico. The last ten years Jason and Mike have traveled throughout Mexico and posted pictures on various Social Media channels of our experienced. Each post someone would comment about how much they would like to have similar experiences.

We would send groups to different destinations and people were thrilled. The phones kept ringing and we decided to leverage our top influencers. As past President of the SCPGA, Jason has deep connections to PGA Members that already take their members on golf trips every year.

Now we have a growing group of Sí Mexico Golf Tour Staff that are trained to bring groups to Mexico.

Jason Taylor, PGA

President

BACKGROUND

Jason Taylor, PGA, has a long and rich history in golf and the PGA. His father and grandfather are members of the Southern California PGA Hall of Fame and were leaders in the development of the PGA and golf in California. Taylor learned the business from the ground up at his family’s golf course, Jurupa Hills CC, starting at 12 years old as a dishwasher and working up to General Manager.

In 2008 Taylor started a golf operations and development business with operations in Asia, South America, Mexico and the Caribbean. During this time, Taylor collaborated with Hall of Fame golfer Lorena Ochoa to form the Lorena Ochoa Golf Foundation, for which he serves as Executive Director and a member of its Board of Directors. Taylor was also a founder, CEO and a principal of Great White Shark Golf Management.

Carrying on the family tradition of leadership, Taylor has been involved with the governance of golf from an early age. Recognized for his leadership, business acumen and commitment to the growth and business of golf, Taylor was elected and served as President of the Southern California Section of the PGA of America from 2009 to 2011 and as Honorary President from 2011-14 and 2016. Taylor has been honored with many awards, including the SCPGA’s highest honor, Golf Professional of the Year in 2004 and the 2012 Bill Strausbaugh Award.

Taylor has a love for Mexico and enjoys traveling throughout the country, including its popular tourist destinations to some of its most beautiful and remote places in states such as Michoacán, Colima and more. Over the years, Taylor formed a close relationship with the Mexico Tourism Board and has enjoyed working alongside them to grow golf tourism in Mexico and share the beauty of Mexico and its people with the world.
